66232 at Stirchley (16/3/10) |
Description: |
On Tuesday 16 March 2010, Class 66/0 no. 66232 emits a blast of exhaust as the driver applies power to the rails as it curves round the bend at Stirchley on the Birmingham Camp Hill line with the 0550 (6M96) Margam to Lackenby steel coil train. The Camp Hill line (formerly the Birmingham and Gloucester Railway) lost its passenger service in 1946 and is now used primarily as a freight route and for occasional Cross Country services. |
