This is one from my archives. A BR Large Logo class 47 (47424?) stands at Newcastle Central Station sometime in 1989 whilst mail is unloaded from the train. This scene is dated by the 'brute' luggage trolleys an the fact that the new platforms at Newcastle are still under construction. This has been re-scanned from the negative with some loss in the quality of the image. |
