The first passenger train to visit the current alignment of the Three Spires Junction to Prologis Park freight branch in Coventry was Pathfinder Tours’ ‘The Industrial Trader’ railtour on Saturday 15 November 2008. The charter also featured two of the remaining EWS Class 37/4 locomotives. In this view, no. 37401 approaches Blackberry Lane foot crossing on the branch with the 0600 (1Z37) leg from Reading. No, 37417 'Richard Trevithick' was at the rear. Later in the day, the tour visited the Ironbridge Power Station and Round Oak freight lines as well as several rare curves and spurs in the West Midlands. |
