The Chesterfield to Sheffield section of the Midland Main Line will be closed for 13 weeks from Monday 8 September 2008 to allow Network Rail engineers to repair Bradway Tunnel near Dronfield. Arriva Cross-Country trains and East Midlands Trains services from London will be diverted via Barrow Hill and Woodhouse Junction during this period. On Saturday 13 September, Class 221 ‘Super Voyager’ no. 221117 passes the site of the former steam shed at Darnall with the diverted 1044 York to Birmingham New Street service. |
