The 1931-built Hudswell Clarke 20" gauge 4-6-2DH 'Neptune' operating on the North Bay Railway in Scarborough is the oldest diesel hydraulic locomotive in the world. On the afternoon of Monday 21 July 2008, the veteran machine runs through Northstead Manor Gardens while hauling a train from Peasholm Park to Scalby Mills station. |
