The 3ft. 6in. gauge Great Orme Tramway (Welsh: Tramffordd y Gogarth) in Llandudno was originally opened on 31 July 1902. It is the only cable-hauled tramway still operating on British public roads, and is one of only three surviving systems in the world. On Monday 23 June 2008, Tramcar No. 5 ascends the steep incline along Ty Gwyn Road as it heads from Victoria Station to Halfway Station. |
