On Monday 10 March 2008, a Class 220 ‘Voyager’ unit crosses the A38 Bristol Road Bridge at Selly Oak with the 0638 Dundee to Plymouth Cross-Country service. The remains of the bridge on the left once carried the original 1876 Birmingham West Suburban Railway line, and is currently under threat of demolition due to the ongoing A38 road widening scheme. |
